A winter wedding, snow forecast? Sounds magical! But have you thought about your accessories?  They will play a big part in keeping not only warm but looking stylish on your day.

Never let the weather worry you about your wedding day an experienced photographer will have many tricks to capture amazing pictures. We have photographed in -17 while it was snowing, experienced high winds and horrendous rain but still managed to create magical pictures! The most important element for us is not the weather but the experience that our clients have.

Our tips for not only keeping you warm but how to look your best on your Winter Wedding.

  • Our gorgeous client, Laura had a beautiful cape for her winter wedding, it not only looked divine but it was the perfect den to keep her and Adam warm while we’re out taking their portraits.

  • You could go for a chic cardigan and matching mittens/ gloves. Cold hands are never a good look in photos treat yourself and your bridemaids; they will look adorable in your pictures. Especially if they match your cardigan! Cutest alert!
  • Chapped lips are not only painful, but they don’t look pretty either, treat yourself to the  Lip Comfort Oil from Clarins use this on the run up to your wedding for the perfectly kissable lips!
  • A must for your wedding purse and one of my favourite Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. Its sheer enough to wear alone or wear over your favourite lipstick. It’s not a long-lasting lip colour, but it simply makes your lips look shiny, smoother and plump!
  • Wear Tights! If you’re wearing a full-length dress then why not. My sister got married in Finland, and I managed to get my thermals tights under my dress. Genius
  • Wear closed toed shoes and if there is a chance it may be icy or difficult to walk have your flat shoes or snow boots at the ready! These will make travelling between venues, or out for your for your pictures much easier.
  • Don’t forget the groom! A gorgeous formal jacket that will coordinate with his attire and a scarf that matches your wedding colours will do the trick.
